Airport Pick-Up Facility
On your arrival in the UK, we can arrange for you to be picked up from the airport and taken to your accommodation by the college. If you would like to avail this facility please inform the college of your flight details as soon as you have them. These should include the name of the airline, the flight number, airport of arrival, the date and time of arrival and airport of departure.
Libraries and Learning
Queensbury College has its own library, which contain books on different courses being taught. A council library is located nearby that provides state of the art facilities to the residents of Barking. Students of Queensbury College have full access to all the facilities of the library. The library remains open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 7pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. This library allows unrestricted access to students all of whom can avail its facilities for free. Membership is required which can be obtained by providing a proofs of identification and address.

Queensbury College has well equipped computer labs with workstations using the latest software as well as high-speed Internet access. The laboratories are equipped with latest software that are regularly reviewed and updated.

If you need medical treatment, appointments with your GP can be booked. You may get help from us in making appointments with a doctor or a dentist during your stay with us. You will also have access to other benefits of NHS. These include free consultations with your doctor and free hospital treatment, if required. Financial Advice and Banking
Students of the college may get help and advice on financial issues. The college can assist the students in opening their bank accounts. This will require the students to show proofs of identification and address. The letter provided by the college can confirm your address based on details in our records that are provided at the time of your enrolment at the college.

Transport Facility 18 + Student Discount Card
An 18 + Student Oyster photocard entitles the holder to buy student-rate Travelcards and Bus Pass season tickets valid for 7 days, one month or longer periods of up to one year, which cost 30 per cent less than adult-rate season tickets.
Credit can also be added to an 18 + Student Oyster photocard to pay adult-rate Oyster single fares, which are cheaper than paying cash.
Single, daily, 3 days tickets and Oyster singles fares are not available at student-rate. If you live near your education establishment or only make a few journeys you can get a normal Oyster card and pay as you go at adult-rate.
These are available online or from Tube stations, London overground stations, Oyster Ticket Stops or London Travel Information Centers and some National Rail stations. The student discount is available for a full-time student enrolled on a full-time course, consisting of 15 or more tuition led and /or structured learning hours a week over a period of at least 14 weeks, or enrolled on a part-time higher education course - studying for a degree Learning Fund, as defined in the documents DFES extract. Normal students on a part time course will not qualify and should not apply for the discount. You may apply using a paper application form that will need to be checked or through the TfL Online Application system on system @ www.tfl.gov.uk/photocards- enter the college name. The application will still need to be verified by the college but will mean that the card will be with you a lot faster.
Recreational Facilities
The area is well served with cuisines of different styles and number of theatres where the students can entertain themselves. Barking area has a number of gyms, swimming pools and sports pitches like hockey, cricket and football.
