Queensbury College’s English Department is committed to raising students' understanding and familiarity with the English Language. As such it plays a vital part in the students' learning experience. The department of English is proud to provide a range of high quality English language courses including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Business English, Academic English and Pre-sessional English, together with courses designed solely to improve the Speaking and Listening skills of candidates.

The courses offered range from Beginners to Advanced level where students will have extensive exposure to all four language learning skills – Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. All course materials are included in the course fee. Upon successful completion of their course a certificate will be awarded by the appropriate Awarding Body, which is currently Education Development International (EDI). Students will then progress onto higher levels.
